REACTION RACE
A FIVE-ROUND REACTION CHECK
Reaction Race turns repeated reaction attempts into a short visual race. The important number is the collection of rounds rather than one isolated click. Looking at several attempts helps show whether a very fast result is repeatable or simply a lucky anticipation.
Keep your hand relaxed, wait for the cue, and avoid trying to predict the delay. Compare your average and spread across rounds. If you want a deeper explanation of why repeated attempts vary, see how many reaction trials to take.
WHY REPEATED ROUNDS ARE USEFUL
Human reaction times are naturally variable. Attention can drift for a moment, one cue can arrive when your hand is perfectly prepared, and another can catch you between movements. A short race makes that variation visible instead of hiding everything behind one best result.
Look for a cluster of similar times. If four attempts are around 250 ms and one is 170 ms, the 170 ms result may be a great reaction, but it is not yet your normal level. If several sessions begin clustering lower over time, that is stronger evidence of a real change.
USE THE RACE AS A WARM-UP
Because it is short, Reaction Race can work as a quick baseline before Aim or Choice modes. Do one clean run, note the average, then move to the more complex task. Avoid grinding dozens of races just to force a lucky number.
